Support for migrants
Some Communities in Italy are a reference and concrete support for our migrant brothers who come above all from countries affected by war and situations of injustice and violence.
In particular, in the Community of Vedrana (Bologna), there is a concrete experience of reception and common life of the missionaries with those brothers who arrive in Italy with the aim of finding a better life. An experience of true sharing, fraternity and journey together.
Volunteering
Our Community in Italy offers the possibility of volunteering and working alongside the missionaries in the different areas of service, according to the availability and inclinations of each one.
Selection and preparation of food, sanitary material, hygiene products, clothing, for the needy; carry out activities with asylum seekers; visit people in need; collaboration in initiatives of evangelization: these are some examples of services that are carried out with generosity and commitment. Depending on the territorial situation of each Italian branch, activities are organized to help the homeless or prisoners and other situations of social vulnerability.
For the mission
One of the activities present since the foundation is the collection of funds to support social works in non-European countries. For 40 years, volunteers and missionaries have unleashed imagination and creativity to raise awareness and funds in the worldwide fellowship. Craft fairs, concerts, charity dinners, parties, lotteries and much more so that everyone can make their own contribution to building a more just and egalitarian world.
